SWEET HOME OKLAHOMA is out now!
Ava’s 4th original song, Sweet Home Oklahoma, was released November 2023. The song/video showcases her life in Oklahoma, her country livin’ in District 6 of the Choctaw Nation. Spending time with her cows, family, friends, featuring photos of her great grandmothers who were Osage and Cherokee. Ava’s proud of where she came from and it shows in this song written by Ava Rose Johnson, Billy Dawson and Kelli Johnson.

There's A Boy
Ava had an amazing time going into the studios to record this single with several big names in the music industry on this single! Billy Dawson, Chris Condon, MusIcal Director for Billy Ray Cyrus, Grady Saxman, Tim Denbo, Luke Mosley and Devin Malone.
This song was nominated for 4 Native American Music Awards with the event gala being November 19th, 2022.
Ava was nominated for Best Female Vocalist, Best Country Song and Best Pop Video.

Heaven's Window
Ava wrote this award winning song in memory of her friend, Behr Place, that passed in an ATV accident. It has been a featured story from the time it was released on television stations, in print and online articles, Ava wanted this song to be a symbol of hope for his family and friends.
Co-writers are Billy Dawson, Lainey Edwards and Sean Fuller (former drummer for Florida Georgia Line).
The videographer was world renowned, James Rayner.

This is a favorite of Ava’s. The video was shot by videographer, Jeshua Booth, in the beautiful area of Eagle Nest and Angel Fire, New Mexico. The extremely talented Sean Fuller (drummer for Florida Georgia Line) played drums for Ava on this one!

Ava has been performing “Blue” for years and really wanted to record her version. Her producer, Billy Dawson, did an amazing work on this! It also includes award winner and CMA’s Musician of the Year, Jenee Fleenor on the fiddle and back ground vocals!

You Were Just A Dream is Ava’s 3rd original single and is the sequel to Heaven’s Window (listen below).
Ava wrote the sequel to her award winning song, “Heaven’s Window” after having a dream a few days before the Heaven’s Window release. Ava describes parts of her dream and feelings in this song

Making History
Nashville Recording Artist, Oklahoma Osage and Cherokee Native, 17 year old, powerful singer-songwriter, Ava Rose Johnson made history in 2019 as the youngest to ever win a Native American Music Award. Winning “Best Independent Recording by a New Artist” for “Heaven’s Window”, co written with Billy Dawson, Lainey Edwards and Sean Fuller (former drummer for Florida Georgia Line).
At the 20th Annual Native American Music Awards in November 2022, Ava Rose was awarded “Best Female Artist of the Year”. She is the youngest to win that award.
Ava’s most recent song “Sweet Home Oklahoma” is being played on Sirius XM radio and is streamed daily, world-wide. The song has received rave reviews and has been featured on numerous radio shows.
In 2024, Ava received a Citation from the Oklahoma House of Representatives for her contribution to music along with being honored as the youngest to win a NextGen Under 30 Oklahoma award twice, the youngest to be a panelist and performer at the GlobalMindED Conference in Denver, Colorado and for testifying and performing at the First American’s Museum for the Commission of Native Children that reported back to Congress.
